Virginia Tech Shooter Identified: South Korean Student Cho Seung-Hui
Virginia Tech University officials have identified an undergraduate student from South Korea as the gunman who shot and killed at least 30 students and professors on Monday. Police identified the classroom shooter as Cho Seung-Hui, 23, a senior from South Korea who was in the English department at Virginia Tech and lived in a different dorm on campus. Cho committed suicide after the attacks, and there was no indication Tuesday of any possible motive, reports the Associated Press.

He was a loner, and we're having difficulty finding information about him," school spokesman Larry Hincker said. According to the wire service report, two law enforcement officials, speaking on condition of anonymity because the information had not been announced, said Cho's fingerprints were found on the guns used in the shootings. The serial numbers on the two weapons had been filed off, the officials said.

Broadcast reports claim that Cho had shown recent signs of violent, aberrant behavior, according to an investigative source, including setting a fire in a dorm room and allegedly stalking some women. A note believed to have been written by Cho was found in his dorm room that railed against "rich kids," "debauchery" and "deceitful charlatans" on campus.
Investigators believe Cho at some point had been taking medication for depression. They are examining Cho's computer for more evidence, the Chicago
Cho was found among the 31 dead found in an engineering hall. Police said the victims laid over four classrooms and a stairwell.
