The Los Angeles Times has revealed the pursuit began shortly after noon in Chino as authorities searched for two burglary suspects, citing the California Highway Patrol as a source.

The chase was on several different freeways as the Lexus ES400 weaved in and out of traffic at high speeds

The pursuit took place on the 71, 91, 60, 710, 105 and 110 freeways, the report reveals.

As you can see below, the male driver runs from the car and, the LA Times notes, "with a cellphone held to his ear, he appeared to run into an apartment complex near the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum."

The paper has more details and photos from the scene here.

The report notes that the "woman who had been the passenger jumped into the driver's seat and drove off, leading officers on a brief chase that ended when she appeared to hit another vehicle."

Watch below as the driver navigates the streets of LA before crashing.
