The Al Gore scandal has police in Oregon interested enough to re-open the case from 2006 and that has hit his social calendar. The New York and Washington, DC social event of the summer is near, Chelsea Clinton is getting married to Marc Mezvinsky in upstate New York.

As Mr. Gore was Bill Clinton's number two for eight years (the father of the bride ), he scored an invitation and would have been a featured guest with wife Tipper.

But they announced recently they would divorce and on the heels of that announcement, a masseuse in Oregon has claimed Al behaved badly during a hotel room 'abdominal massage.'




Now the cops are involved and the National Enquirer has printed back-to-back stories on the alleged actions from the former veep. With that scandal heating up in Oregon and an impending divorce from wife Tipper Gore, Al will be forced to decline.

A spokesman sets the record straight:

"The Gores are not attending the wedding. They both wish Chelsea well, believe she is a wonderful young woman, and they share in the family's excitement."

There are but 400 names on the guest list, according to New York Magazine.
