CIA in Nigeria - Father of Underwear Bomber Met With US Official
By Tim Morgan
Dec 31, 2009
Was the CIA in Nigeria with the father of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab when he was trying to warn the United States about his son's radical changes? According to the Wall Street Journal, "the father of Mr. Abdulmutallab met with the Central Intelligence Agency at the U.S. embassy in Abuja, Nigeria, Nov. 19, and told of his son's likely radicalization."
On Tuesday, President Obama in a press conference said national security in the U.S. experienced a "systemic failure" by not preventing Abdulmutallab from getting on a U.S.-bound flight.

Obama said in Hawaii: "When our government has information on a known extremist and that information is not shared and acted upon as it should have been so that this extremist boards a plane with dangerous explosives that could have cost nearly 300 lives, a systemic failure has occurred, and I consider that totally unacceptable."
The Wall Street Journal has the frightening details here of the lapse under a blistering headline, "Obama Slams Security Breach Reports, Intercepts Suggested Attack Preparations; Multiple Agencies Had Warning!"
