Crime Beat: Robber Gets Only $6 - Thermal, California Armed Robbery

Crime Beat California - A female robber decided to make attempt a nice quick haul by eyeing eleven potential crime victims at the La Chicanita Market in Thermal, California for a quick cash haul. Her plan failed as she got only $6 for her trouble as none of the patrons of the store would produce any cash.

The Associated Press reports that she got the money from someone that was entering the store after becoming frustrated and leaving.

It could have been a disaster as it was an armed robbery. According to the AP account, the robber had a semi-automatic pistol and displayed it during the robbery, pointing it at the people in the store before leaving and stealing the six bucks at gunpoint from the person coming into the store.
The story cites Deputy Herlinda Valenzuela who says the "woman confronted 10 customers in the store and also demanded money from one person who was entering the market."
The policewoman said the robber "then fled in an old car."
