Cruise Ship and Traffic Jams (Photos) Oasis of the Seas

Nov 17, 2009

Oasis of the Seas is the world's largest cruise ship and is able to stop traffic and create jams even when it is out at sea. The USA Today "Cruise Log" checks in with a report that notes the Fort Lauderdale's Sun-Sentinel says the "sprawling port has been flooded with people trying to get a closer look at the much-awaited vessel and asking if they can take a tour. Due to port security rules, however, the port has been forced to turn the spectators away."

According to the paper, the $1.5 billion Royal Caribbean ship sailed into its new home this weekend and people were desperate to get a glimpse of the massive and very expensive vessel.

The 225,000-ton vessel, can hold more than 6,000 passengers and can be seen here at USA Today with links to more pictures and even video of the beauty. The reason for the jams of people trying to get a glimpse of the luxury liner, Oasis is not open to the public for viewing.

However, Good Morning America will broadcast from Oasis on Nov. 20, offering the public the first look and it should look quite stunning if you have High Definition Television.
