Debra Medina & Glenn Beck - Will 9/11 Conspiracy Remark Ruin Campaign?
Feb 12, 2010
Texas politics - The Republican primary for governor in Texas was hot enough without the Debra Medina and Glenn Beck (pictured) showdown over 9/11 and those that believe the attacks on America were a massive US government conspiracy.

In an interview with the popular and controversial Fox News host, Medina, "told Beck that she hasn't taken a position on whether the government was involved in 9/11," reports the Dallas Observer.
The quote is simple and damaging. When pushed by Beck on her thoughts on the attacks on America on 9/11, she replied: "I think some very good questions have been raised in that regard. There's some very good arguments and I think the American people have not seen all the evidence there, so I've not taken a position."

Momentum shift. When the comments were played over and over, "Paging Charlie Sheen" jokes could be heard loudly and "Nut case!" screams echoed throughout the state and across the country.
The gubernatorial hopeful tried to issue a bit of damage control after what can only be determined as a disastrous interview.
She has already released one statement after the interview where she seems to now take a position on the attacks, saying she does not believe the government was involved in the attacks, but that seems to have helped very little.

The Observer notes Medina, who's scheduled to appear at a 1 p.m. press conference at the Hyatt Regency Houston on Friday, is ready "to set the record straight regarding her interview on Glenn Beck yesterday," according to a press release.
