A Fox News co-host made a rape remark that has him under fire.

Bob Beckel isn't a conservative commentator like many of the Fox News hosts, he is the liberal counter on many subjects for the network, but on this occasion it was a Democrat who made a ridiculous comment about rape.

Beckel is facing a backlash for questioning the prevalence of rape on college campuses.

The topic was a discussion about conceal carry for firearms on campus and the subject swerves into rape on campus, which Beckel seems to think isn't a big problem.

“When was the last time you heard about a rape on campus?” Beckel asked on "The Five," a Fox News show.

“What are you talking about?" co-host Eric Bolling responded. "It’s rampant."

“In particular, date rape on campus,” co-host Dana Perino added.

The number is staggering, 25 percent of college women "will be victims of rape or attempted rape before they graduate within a four-year college period," a 2010 Department of justice study estimated.
