Hillary Clinton 2016 Hype - Tabloid Headlines Return
The Hillary Clinton 2016 hype machine is already in overdrive and many already believe that Hillary Rodham Clinton will try again to win the Democratic nomination for president in the next presidential election.
Hillary would later resign from her US Senate seat from the state of New York to accept the position of US Secretary of State under Obama and served for four years in that role.
She formally resigned in February, likely to prepare to run for president in 2016.
That means a lot of hype right now in 2013 and some are already suggesting that can only hurt Clinton.
Tabloid headlines return…
The tabloid headlines have already returned surrounding the Clintons with the sleazy Anthony D. Wiener scandal.
Weiner is running to be the next mayor of New York City and is married to Huma Abedin, but he has been caught sending out photos of his penis to a gaggle of women online and photos of his privates have been published on the web.
He refused to vacate his candidacy after the latest round of photos surfaced, and Huma stood by her man in a weird press conference, reminding many of Hillary Clinton and her 60 Minutes interview in 1991 with her husband Bill.
The reason - Huma was a top aide to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the two are very close and it seemed like Abedin and Weiner copied the strategy from Bill and Hillary in 1992.
Abedin is expected to work on Hillary's campaign and would likely accompany her to the White House in some capacity if Hillary can win in November 2016 and when Huma and Anthony did their strange press conference, it was Deja Vu for many.
Watch a video below of Hillary and Bill's first big interview after a Star Magazine article was released claiming Bill had been cheating on Hillary for several years.
(In the 1992 confessional from Bill and Hillary, Bill Clinton's former lover Gennifer Flowers had already sold her story about her years long affair with Clinton and Hillary and Bill went on 60 Minutes to put out the fire and deny the charges.)
Politico has a story today that keeps the hype going titled, 'The Clinton dramas: Here we go again."
For that article, Politico asked his former Bill Clinton adviser James Carville for his take on the latest round of headlines involving the Clintons over the past month (including the money woes at their foundation) and he said, “Thus it was, thus it is and thus it shall be.”
"It's always gonna be," he added. “And if anybody thinks that it’s gonna change, they’re crazy."
Yet he added that the global charitable work Bill Clinton has done, combined with his wife’s tenure at the State Department, are positives that often go overlooked.
"I think the Clinton-haters come out of the woodwork," he said.
"And if anybody thinks that’s not gonna happen they’re crazy. And I think if we’ve learned anything through all of this you deal with it is as it is and things turn out pretty good. Yes, it’s a little bit, ‘Oh God. We went through that [in the 1990s]. If the Clintons come back we’re just gonna have the viciousness and the anger of the ’90s. … [without anyone named Clinton] we’ll get a fresh start.'"
Will a Hillary Clinton run for president in 2016 be smooth as silk or filled with attacks, drama and lies?
