Jill Kelley Scandal Snares Twin Sister Natalie Khawam - Posing for Photos, Gaining Access to Gen. David Petraeus

Nov 14, 2012

The scandal of Gen. David Petraeus has a cast of characters, and Florida housewife Jill Kelley and her twin sister Natalie Khawam have drawn a lot of interest and even been compared to Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardahsian..

Kelley, her husband and her twin sister hosted parties and became friendly with top military officials in Tampa for several years and reports have noted they have used that access in a variety of ways.

The twins are a pair of full-figured curvaceous brunettes and are 37 years old.

Jill has been called a name dropping social climber by many of her detractors and some have rolled their eyes and dubbed them the Kardashian twins.

The two twin sisters posed for the above photo with Gen. David Petraeus and his wife Holly along with her husband Scott in Tampa in 2010 as they gained close access to Petraeus through social events like that one hosted in Florida.

That paid off for the twin sister Natalie when the general wrote a letter on her behalf during a contentious child custody battle.

Both General Petraeus and General John Allen (he's now sucked into the scandal as well) recently intervened in a child custody battle on behalf of Natalie.

"Petraeus and Allen wrote letters in September to the District of Columbia Superior Court in support of Khawam, as she sought to gain more visitation rights with her son, according to a review of the court file," reports the UK Daily Mail.

Kelley entered the national gossip scene just this week, when she was linked as the other woman in the sex scandal of CIA Director David Petraeus.

The once respected US General was caught having an affair with his biographer Paula Broadwell and has resigned from the intelligence agency.

How they got caught…

E-mails began appearing in Jill Kelley's inbox -- e-mails she says were harassment and she was worried enough that she called a pal at the FBI.

The e-mails told her to back off Petraeus and sop being such a flirtatious tease and Jill felt threatened and called in her FBI pal.

The friend opened a case to see who was sending the e-mails.

The e-mails were how the discovery was made that Petraeus was diddling Paula Broadwell, the author of the book on him so appropriately titled 'All In.'

Unfortunately, there is even more scandal with the agent who got the ball rolling, that agent was later dropped from the case as he was caught sending Kelley raunchy e-mails.

Still - other agents not trying to sleep with Jill discovered the Petraeus affair.

The FBI investigation looked into the complaint that an anonymous writer was sending harassing e-mails to Kelley and Broadwell was later determined to be the writer.

The agents read the e-mails and now Broadwell is silent and Petraeus is out of a job and under a ton of scrutiny.

Oh - and is wife Holly is fairly pissed off as well.

The UK Daily Mail has more on the twin sisters Jill Kelley and Natalie Khawam.

CNN has a timeline of the affair.

Who will get the first interview with Jill Kelley and how much will she try to get for the exclusive interview?
