LA Cop Killer Who Wrote Manifesto in San Diego, Chris Dorner Tried to Steal Yacht, Flee to Mexico?
Chris Dorner is now an alleged cop killer.
Former LAPD officer Christopher Jordan Dorner is the subject of a police manhunt and is suspected of shooting two Riverside Police officers this morning, killing one and wounding the other.
Dorner is the former Los Angeles police officer who posted a manifesto online threatening to hurt police officials and their families.
Read the full manifesto here where Dorner explains his reasons for seeking revenge.
It is a chilling read.
He was fired by LAPD and now has vowed revenge on police and their families and appears to be carrying that out, already allegedly shooting and killing the daughter of a former LAPD Captain while she sat in a parked car.
Her fiance was also shot and killed as he was with her in the vehicle.
Dorner is the suspect in the double slayings, which happened at the parking lot of an upscale Irvine apartment complex.
Dead in that shooting are Monica Quan and her fiance, Keith Lawrence and the LA Times reveals they may be connected to the alleged cop killer by her dad.
Randy Quan, a retired L.A. police captain, was involved in the review process that ultimately led to Dorner's dismissal.
San Diego Yacht escape?
Dorner may have planned to escape to Mexico by boat.
The LA Times reveals:
"Police officials said they believed Christopher Jordan Dorner, 33, attempted to steal a boat from an elderly man about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Southwestern Yacht Club in Point Loma, hours before the police shootings in Riverside.
The 81-year-old boat owner reported being accosted and tied up by a burly man who threatened him with a gun and said he wanted the boat to flee to Mexico.
But while the assailant was trying to start the boat, a rope became entangled in the propeller and the boat was inoperable, authorities said.
The suspect took the boat owner's cell phone and fled the scene and the boat owner was unharmed."

The California Highway Patrol has issued a "blue alert" for nine Southern California counties.
Officials said Dorner is believed to be driving a 2005 blue or gray Nissan Titan, with California license plate 8D83987 or 7X09131.
He may be switching between the two license plates.
Dorner is described as a black male, 33 years old, 6 feet tall, weighing 270 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Police say call 911 and do not approach or attempt contact as obviously he is armed and dangerous.
Also - Beware if your truck looks like Dorner's and you are in Southern California.
