Who is Maureen Stemberg and why is she upset with Mitt Romney?

Maureen Stemberg was divorced from Tom Stemberg in 1987 and she feels she did not receive a fair settlement and a report claims she carries resentment to this day on anyone she feels helped her ex-husband.

She has teamed up with attention seeking mouthpiece Gloria Allred, and the two are in court in Mass. today, they are hopeful to drop an 'October Surprise' on GOP Presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who was friends with her ex.

Maureen wants her divorce case unsealed so she can unload on Romney as he testified in the case years ago about the value of Staples, the company that employed Tom Stemberg as CEO.

Allred probably could have just asked Romney if he objected at unsealing the case, according to the UK Daily Mail, he has no problem with the case being revealed to the public.

"This is a decades-old divorce case in which Mitt Romney provided testimony as to the value of a company," a Romney lawyer said.

"He has no objection to letting the public see that testimony."

Allred loves the TV lights and paparazzi though, so she will be trying desperately to get as much attention as possible.

However, it is a stretch to think this sideshow could change a vote for Mitt to a vote for Obama.

The UK Daily Mail has a lot more on Stemberg, the story paints her as a woman scorned.
