McCain Faces Angry Crowd (Video) - Arizona Voters Rip Senator over United Nations Agenda 21, Other Issues

Feb 20, 2013

Sen. John McCain faced an angry crowd of voters at a Gilbert, Arizona town hall who ripped him over United Nations 'Agenda 21' and a host of other issues.

McCain is sometimes the angry one.

The politician faced off with voters on a variety of issues and faced off with a liberal woman who wanted taxes raised on the wealthy to members of the Tea Party who were offended for being called Hobbits by McCain on the floor of the US Senate.

According to the Arizona Republic, Kelly Townsend, a Gilbert resident and member of the Greater Phoenix Tea Party, demanded that McCain apologize for the comment.

McCain explained he was reading from a Wall Street Journal editorial on the Senate floor, and he meant the notion of passing a balanced-budget amendment is fantasy, like hobbits.

McCain added that he was sorry if it was misunderstood.

Other Tea Party members were upset about United Nations "Agenda 21" and McCain's reaction to it.

The liberal woman also vented against McCain for criticizing Obama and besides raising taxes on the rich, wanted politicians to lift her up.

The Republic has more here and identifies the woman as Bambi Sandquist.

"I want something to lift me up," Sandquist said. "I want to see you guys working together, and I want to see the ideology out of it. People need to see unity and consensus."
