Rand Paul Issues Brief Statement After Son's Arrest - William Hilton Paul was on US Airways Flight
Crime Beat - US Senator Rand Paul has issued a brief statement on his son's arrest.
His 19-year old son, William Hilton Paul, was traveling this weekend from Lexington, Ky., to Charlotte and was removed from the plane by authorities at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport when the airplane arrived at its destination.
Paul was charged with consuming beer/wine underage, disorderly conduct and being intoxicated and disruptive, a report revealed.
According to the Charlotte Observer, the teen was charged with consuming beer/wine underage, disorderly conduct and being intoxicated and disruptive.
Rand Paul's office issued a brief statement:
"Sen. Paul is a national public figure and subject to scrutiny in the public arena. However, as many parents with teenagers would understand, his family should be afforded the privacy and respect they deserve in a situation such as this."
