Student Passes Out in Sub-Zero Temps After Night of Drinking

A female college student was found passed out in sub-zero temps in Duluth, Minnesota, but will survive the frozen ordeal.

The young woman, 19-year-old Alyssa Lommel was reportedly out drinking with friends during the night.

Once the partying was over, Alyssa was dropped off by her friends at her home.

Unfortunately, it appears she never made it inside the house and spent almost 9 hours passed out in the sub-zero temperatures outside.

She suffered severe hypothermia.

The AP reports that A passer-by found her on the front stoop of the house next door about 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

When quiz about why he dropped her off in such condition, the male driver who dropped Lommel outside her house told police she was walking and talking and didn't appear extremely intoxicated.

She may have been confused about where she was in representation to her own house at as footprints lead to the house next door, but she never went inside that home either.

The AP reveals the "police report says Lommel's hands were three times the normal size when she was found Saturday morning."

Lommel is a student at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
