Is there a Kindle 2.0 in the works? Speculation abounds as Amazon right now has a four to six week wait for the for the first/current generation and the underlying thoughts are that a Kindle 2.0 is on the way. A press conference has been scheduled and that has increased the buzz that suggests that Kindle 2.0 may finally be ready for launch.

Will the Smoking Palm Pre Rival iPhone?

More tech, CNet notes that the most anticipated smartphone of the year, the smoking Palm Pre has all sorts of rumors surrounding its launch date with one insider suggesting February 15. The new device is said to rival the iPhone.


More from CNet, they note that in less than two weeks, Acer plans to unveil its first line of smartphones, but a picture of at least one of the purported models is already making the rounds online. They have it here and note it "has a swivel keyboard and a touch screen--according to BGR's source--but it's unclear which mobile OS it will run, Windows Mobile or Android."
