Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's husband Todd Palin was very much a part of running the government in Alaska, according to e-mail notes sent back and forth between a host of the characters in the state.

The new e-mail notes are part of a slew of messages released by Alaska to NBC News and placed online with an invitation for readers to review the once private notes.

According to USA Today, MSNBC says the e-mails, released to the news organization under the public records law, "open a curtain on the behind-the-scenes preoccupations of the Palins, particularly the flash points of family and the media, personal finances and state finances."


According to the news report, "Nearly 3,000 pages of e-mails that Todd Palin exchanged with state officials, which were released to msnbc.com and NBC News by the state of Alaska under its public records law."
