Who are the latest actors to be quizzed about the role of Christian Grey in the upcoming movie 50 Shades of Grey?

Many actors have already been linked or whispered abbot for the role including Jake Gyllenhaal, Channing Tatum, Ryan Gosling, Tom Hardy and Matt Bomer.

First up is Alexander Skarsgard, the "True Blood" star talked to Extra about his upcoming film "Hidden" and of course the possibility of playing Christian in the film adaptation of "50 Shades of Grey" was brought up.

Would he take the role of Christian Grey, if offered?

Alexander answered, "Step one is always reading the material… before you've done that you can't say if you're excited or not. I haven't read the books. All I know is that they are very popular, obviously."

The Examiner notes another handsome actor of vampire fame is being mentioned.

An item notes that Ian Somerhalder has long been a fan favorite for Christian Grey after many a sultry scene in "The Vampire Diaries" and he had this to ay bout the role recently.

“I think that it’s going to be a really interesting story to tell … It seems to me like whoever ends up playing that role, it will be an even more interesting rehearsal time and audition process.”
