Who are the favorites to play Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey in the upcoming movie 50 Shades of Grey?

The speculation surrounding actors and actresses favored for the movie gains energy each day and there was some breaking news on the upcoming film this week, Kelly Marcel was hired as the screenwriter for the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' movie.

Marcel was the executive producer of canceled TV sci-fi drama 'Terra Nova.'

Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti are on board to produce, and Dana commented:

"We were all taken with the depth and passion of Kelly's engagement with the characters and world E.L. James has created and we knew she was the right person to augment our 'Fifty Shades' family."

Michael added: "Kelly's work demonstrates her flawless structural technique and passionate commitment to emotion, humour and depth of character, which is particularly visible in the celebrated screenplay for the upcoming 'Saving Mr. Banks'."

The film will be an adaptation of EL James' erotic novel where billionaire Christian Grey introduces a young college graduate named Anastasia Steele to the world of bondage and kinky sex.

Favored for Ana?

It is impossible to know who author EL James will pick for the role, but a new name emerged this week, Mila Kunis was called the frontrunner for the lead female role this week.

The 'Black Swan' actress was promoted to be cast as Anastasia Steele after being crowned the Sexiest Woman Alive by men's magazine Esquire.

A report added:

The 26-year-old brunette's girl-next-door charm has propelled her to the top of the list of actresses being considered to play the naïve female lead, who becomes lured into an S&M lifestyle by older billionaire Christian Grey.

'Harry Potter' star Emma Watson and 'Twilight' actress Kristen Stewart are also favorites to star in the big screen adaptation of E.L. James' erotic bestseller.

EL James still won't say who she favors, but some who have been named are Ryan Gosling and 'The Vampire Diaries' star Ian Somerhalder.
