Adam Levine - Snub over Dressing Room at The Roxy Leads to Rant on The Voice
Adam Levine is still furious with The Roxy over a dressing room snub from years ago when his band Maroon 5 was an opening act for Michelle Branch.
The West Hollywood club apparently didn't offer the opening act even as much as a dressing room and Levine has a memory like an elephant.
During the the Nov. 26 episode of NBC's The Voice, the Maroon 5 front man went off on the club after hearing contestant Cassadee Pope sing a rendition of Michelle Branch's "Are You Happy Now?"
"We used to open for Michelle Branch," Levine told Pope. "I remember we opened for her at the Roxy, and they didn't even give us a dressing home. I hate the Roxy. I'll never play there again."
According to the LA Times, Pope protested, saying "I love the Roxy."
Levine wasn't convinced.
"Oh, the Roxy is horrible," he corrected. "Don't ever go there. "
The paper noted that when the audience started to chatter, Levine justified his rant. "They screwed us over," he said. "And now they're paying for it."
Is Adam justified in his rant?
