Alec Baldwin Takes on a "Doped Up" Carrie Fisher
Oct 27, 2007
Alec Baldwin takes on all comers and no we are not speaking of his ugly battles with Kim Bassinger. The man that owns "30 Rock" and never gets enough credit for his abilities on the NBC Thursday night comedy was on a roll in this week's episode as he took on a "doped up" Carrie Fisher (she was marvelous as well) in another winner that proves that "Rock" still is one of the best shows on television.

I'm not certain I want to go this far, but Gawker gushes over the episode and has a great clip. The New York publication has this review of the hilarious episode that actually could have used the old tag line "Must See TV."
***
Gawker: Last night, nestled in an episode of the consistently hilarious 30 Rock starring Carrie Fisher as the ghost of Liz Lemon's schizophrenic, rat-infested future, was a scene of less than two minutes in duration that could easily go down as one the greatest acting triumphs of this or any other generation.
The clip is here. "In it, Sir Alec Baldwin (is he not a Sir yet? Because he should be) inhabits no less than five figures from Tracy Jordan's formative years, seamlessly traversing age, gender, and ethnic lines with a proficiency that would make a bitterly envious Eddie Murphy storm out of the room faster than he did on Oscar night. Jack Donaghy, we salute you."
