The Alex Rodriguez car accident isn't quite gathering the earlier headlines of the Tiger Woods SUV crash, but the numbers are still quite staggering. The playboy New York Yankees slugger was involved in a "fender-bender" driving his $400,000 Maybach last Thursday.

Thankfully, no mistresses or allegations spilled out of the auto and the damage was minimal to the high dollar automobile.

And while Tiger's crash sent him running for cover, A-Rod is out in front and says his was not a big deal. In fact, the slugger says his near half-million dollar car is none the worse for wear, and the 'accident' was nothing more than a bump.


"I wouldn't even call it (an accident)," Rodriguez told the New York Daily News yesterday. "I was going about two miles per hour. It was a fender-bender. "You couldn't even tell on my car. There wasn't even a scratch."
