Will Amanda Bynes go to Jail?

Celebrity Crime Beat - Amanda Bynes is facing possible jail time after charges were filed against the former Nickelodeon star.

The US actress was facing multiple accusations of auto accidents that were classified as hit and run crashes around the Los Angeles area in Southern California.

She faces charges for an alleged April car crash and an alleged August accident as well.

In both cases, police say she left the scene.

Prosecutors are officially filing misdemeanor charges against the actress for the April and August cases, and Bynes could face up to a year in jail if she’s convicted, according to TMZ.

According to TMZ, cops said the "smoking gun" for detectives in the August case was that the damage to the victim's car matched the damage to Amanda's.

She's due in court September 27th.
