Results night for Idol - The final three contestants for American idol tonight (5-17-2012) will learn their fate and we will find out who is voted off the show and sent home just shy of the finals.

For the show last night...

In the first round, it was judges' choice for songs and Randy Jackson chose Etta James’ “I’d Rather Go Blind” for Joshua Ledet.

Jennifer Lopez chose Mariah Carey’s “My All” for Jessica Sanchez.

Steven Tyler chose “Beggin’,” by Madcon, for Phillip to round out the first round.

Second round was contestant's choice...

Jessica Sanchez performed "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith at the Top 3 performance show.

Joshua Ledet performed his rendition of “Imagine” by John Lennon.

Phillip Phillips had the girls swooning with “We’ve Got Tonight” by Bob Seger.

Who goes home? Predictions are all over the map...

Sonya Sorich of the Ledger-Enquirer is certain one singer is safe, but is she right?

She muses, "Well, I'm almost 100 percent sure that Leesburg, Ga., singer Phillip Phillips is safe."

That would leave Joshua Ledet and Jessica Sanchez in danger of elimination.

She adds, "I predict Jessica will go home this week. She didn't have any "wow" performances Wednesday night. It's time for her to leave."

Meanwhile, judge Stephen Tyler is in love with Jessica and predicts a title for the young singer.

"Jessica, when you sing, you make people hang on your every note. The way you sing, I just hope you get used of encores. And in another kind of crazy way, you will be the last one standing here I believe. So that was just so over-the-top girl. I can't tell ya," he said after her performance of the Mariah Carey song.

Remember - she has already been sent home by the voters only to be brought back by the judges.

Could Joshua Ledet be shown the door?

The 20-year-old Louisiana native is prepped to say his good byes during the elimination this evening.

“If I were to go home tomorrow, best of luck to Jessica and Phillip,” he told reporters after his performance last night.

While we are waiting for the results to come in, you can watch Watch Jessica's performance of below on video of "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing."

THE RESULTS SHOW IS LIVE...

Ryan Seacrest is on stage, we will soon know the finalists.

Check below as we will report who is safe and who is eliminated as the results are announced live.

No results yet, but Joshua is the first to get his feedback from last night. Jimmy thinks that he's the most exciting showman in the competition.

Next - Jessica Sanchez gets her feedback and Jimmy didn't think that her performance of 'My All' came together enough.

He also didn't think there was enough in her version of 'Don't Wanna Miss a Thing', insisting that she still needs a "magical moment."

Phil Phillips finally gets his review from Jimmy and he thinks he did a great job with 'Beggin' as it was "entertaining" and "fun."

Still awaiting real results from the hour long show, check back.

FINALS ARE SET!!!!
