She's thin and she's tan and she isn't afraid to strip down to a bikini and get a little sassy. American idol bikini girl is the first real viral hit of season 8 and it appears that Katrina Darrell is going to Hollywood. She got into it with the brand new idol judge Kara DioGuardi and the high definition TV catfight was ready for Fox.

Many have big concerns for this season and while Season 8 of American idol is underway with a bit of a buzz from a little slender gal with a good body strutting around Phoenix in a swimsuit (the first night of this season was filmed in Phoenix in the summertime and the mercury soared to 106 degrees) and Katrina Darrell fit right in.


Check out photos and video here of the sassy little contestant. More buzz for idol early on seems a bit manufactured as host Ryan Seacrest kicked it off in fine form by stirring up a little controversy with Angelina Jolie.

In other idol news, last year's champ David Cook (he beat out spunky little singer David Archuleta for the title in season seven) is single. He was dating idol alum Kimberly Caldwell. American idol's first night is in the books and there were some good voices from Arizona.
