As late as early May, American Idol finalist Kellie Pickler denied dating season four finalist Constantine Maroulis. She told TV Guide, "no to dating Constantine, too.

I met Constantine at a launch party and we talked, but we're just friends. In all honesty, no contestant is dating another contestant."

"It's kind of, like, gross, because we're all like brother and sister!"

Well the speculation is heating back up - and is mainly fueled by Constantine. People Magazine has an item that gives the details of Maroulis shopping spreefor Kellie.

Rumors have been swirling that former American Idol finalists Constantine Maroulis and Kellie Pickler are an item. Recently, Maroulis went shopping at Santa Monica's L.F. boutique and told store staff that he was looking for a "rock and roll look" for a "very special friend."

The singer then admitted that he was in fact shopping for Pickler.

As he browsed through the aisles, Maroulis spotted a pair of lime green shoes emblazoned with polka dots and exclaimed, "These are so her." He purchased them along with a sexy black-and-white dress. Talk about having a personal shopper.

So - are they really dating?

Who knows - but it’s a good buzz item for Kellie, and it certainly doesn't hurt Constantine as he gets his name back into play again as well.
