American Idol Shuts Down Rosie O'Donnell For Racist Accusation

Mar 7, 2007

It was comical when Rosie O'Donnell decided to rip American idol again earlier this week and accuse the Reality TV program of being racist. O'Donnell who thrives on bashing others from her seat on 'The View' had just earlier this yearsparked an incident where she mocked the Chinese with her now infamous 'ching, chang, chong' attack. When asked to apologize her initial response issued through her spokesman to Asianswas to 'get over it.'

Now the master of race relations has decided that idol is racist and doesn't like fat people because they gave a contestant in season 2 named Frenchie Davis the boot for her online topless photos while leaving this year's hussy Antonella Barba in place despite her racy online photos. Davis is black and large, Barba is slim and white.

It appears that American idol has had it with Rosie. According to a report from AOL Entertainment website TMZ.Com they have shut Rosie down from using their clips as she bashes the show. TMZ gives this report: As is their habit, Rosie and the "View" crew started to talk about last night's "Idol," but had no video to go with it. Ro explained the lack of footage was because "Idol" was unhappy over her slamming of the judges, her suggestions about Paula's "possible inattentiveness," and her accusations of racism and sizeism on yesterday's broadcast.

Sagacious den mother Barbara Walters put it best: "You don't insult them with your left hand and ask for favors with your right." And Joy suggested a solution for the problem -- putting an on-screen Ro-Screed disclaimer that warns, "Rosie's views are Rosie's."

I'm guessing after accusing Paula of being drunk and slamming the show as a bunch racists that wouldn't help.
