It was recently reported that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were able to steal away a few moments at a Los Angeles hotel for some privacy away from their four kids. It was described as a romantic getaway that was said to have been an attempt to revamp some sparks in their busy relationship that includes kids, film projects and activism. But did Jolie's recent East Coast trip cause a set-back?

Angelina Jolie Trip Causes Problems?

Angelina was again away from Brad and her family of four children this week while she traveled. The Hollywood do-gooder first hit Washington, DC to ask politicians for cash to help orphans overseas and then moved on to New York City to attend the Tribeca Film Festival. Brad and her own kids were reportedly left behind. "This is a happy day because it is not often enough that these children are represented in this town,'' Jolie said to a room crowded with cameras and reporters while she was in DC.

Jolie has adopted three orphan children, but said any help that people in the US can offer is better than nothing. "The best solution for anyone who is abandoned or displaced is to be home (in their own countries)," Jolie said. "I would support that first and foremost."

But is all of this taking a toll on her personal life with Brad and her own children and her health? Some reports claim it is.

The travel may be getting to Pitt according to reports as she is left caring for the kids alone. Of course Pitt has help with nannies but still his 'soul mate' is long gone and off spending time on the East Coast.

The Australian Herald Sun reports the actress and campaigner for child poverty has sparked concern recently with "a massive plunge in weight." The report notes that she appeared at a charity news conference in Washington looking emaciated and exhausted. The report notes that a "noticeably thin Jolie spoke in Washington to announce the formal launch of Global Action for Children, an advocacy organization dedicated to orphans' and children's issues."

And this week's Life & Style Weekly reports that insiders have claimed that boyfriend Brad Pitt is a bit concerned over the fact that she is not paying enough attention to her own children, in particular their own little baby Shiloh.
