Las Vegas - The Brits came to Las Vegas over the weekend. They were here to watch their native son Ricky Hatton get thumped by American fighter Floyd Mayweather. Boxing brings out lots of celebrities to the Strip and this weekend they included A-List rock star couple Angelina Jolie and her non-husband Brad Pitt. As it figures, Jolie was backing the Brit.

The UK crowd was rude, crude and an absolute boor. They booed during the American National Anthem, making rude and obscene gestures while it was playing at the Las Vegas' MGM Grand. They were all over the city raising havoc. But in the end they would leave with their pride bruised thanks to Mayweather.


Ricky Hatton was knocked out in the tenth round by the American fighter who recently won over a whole bunch of new fans with his appearance on the ABC reality TV show "Dancing with the Stars." Apparently Miss Jolie was not one of the converts. She backed the loser.

It's hard to tell if this is just spin from her PR team, but= reports now claim that Jolie was stunned at how violent the sport of boxing is and she was shocked when she saw Mayweather lay out Hatton. There are sources that claim Jolie actually made her way to his dressing room to tell Ricky how "brave" he was to take a beating.


It figures that Jolie would back the Brit. But here we have Angelina, who after years of being a Hollywood degenerate is desperately trying to revive her image as some sort of a modern day celebrity "Mother Theresa."

So what is she doing in Las Vegas, aka Sin City, and at a prizefight? And why is she showing any love to her fellow countryman Floyd Mayweather?
