Brad Pitt turned 42 on Sunday and reportedly has celebrated his birthday in style by purchasing a Cartier wedding ring for Angelina Jolie.

A ring for Angie?

Pitt reportedly purchased a set of rings earlier this week in Beverly Hills.Brad grabbed his motorcycle ripped up Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills on a shopping spree and purchased the rings, according to one published report

The UK Sun cites sources that dish that Brad and Angie are planning a Buddhist-style ceremony at his Malibu mansion.

One thing - the marriage may not be recognized by the state of California. In fact, the paper reports that it would not be legally binding at all, but would involve an exchange of rings and be overseen by a priest.

Charming. But if something goes wrong later - a whole lot less paperwork.

Before fans and gossips get too excited, these rumors seemed to be appearing nearly every weekend.

One publication had the couple married two weekends ago in Florida, that turned out to be nothing more than a rumor sparked by a radio deejay.

And there was that rock solid date that the pair was to be married in Italy December 1, but that date has come and gone and still no legally binding document making the pair Mr. and Mrs. Pitt.

So - this one? Who knows - its wait and see time with the mystery couple - again.
