It is still unclear if Angelina Jolie will support Barack Obama for president and over the weekend the Obama campaign announced the ticket for the November elections as Washington insider Joe Biden was added to the ticket. Will Obama-Biden be mocked just like Angelina Jolie and baby daddy Brad Pitt were when they sold their photos to People magazine?

It certainly seems like it will be easy to do. According to a report from CBS News, Obama-Biden have granted their first interview to People magazine. That's right, after losing ground in the polls and being mocked for being nothing more than a celebrity like Britney Spears and Paris Hilton in a very successful ad campaign by rival John McCain, Obama doesn't give his first interview with his new running mate to Time or Newsweek, he goes to People magazine.


Obama gets lots of love from the weekly entertainment magazines and has already been on the cover of Us Weekly magazine and has been on the cover of People as well. He has also spent some time allowing his kids to answer questions from Access Hollywood. Obama seems to believe that being a celebrity and having the gossip world promote you will help in a general election.

Is People magazine the right venue for Barack Obama and Joe Biden to spell out their plans for America? No matter what issue it is in, the story will be featured alongside photos of scantly clad celebrity females and gossip about Britney, Paris and Lindsay Lohan.


The first ad by McCain mocking Obama as nothing more than an empty suit and a celebrity built up by the press was a huge success and wiped out a nine-point lead Obama once had in the polls. What will McCain do with this?
