The Anna Nicole Smith trial took an interesting turn late Wednesday afternoon. The two men that claim to have fathered Anna Nicole's baby Dannielynn Hope each were on the witness stand at a hearing in Florida that is supposed to secede where Smith is to be buried. For many observers it turned into Larry Birkhead vs. Howard K Stern. If it were a fight they would have stopped it. Celebrity photographer Larry Birkhead took the stand and dominated and as the circus turns seemed like the only reasonably normal person to testify so far.

While Stern was admitting that his sole means of financial support all the way down to his shoes, Birkhead noted that a lot of the problems he faced with Smith was because he wished to maintain his financial independence. Advantage Birkhead.

As AOL's TMZ.Com reports, Judge Larry Seidlin finished a long, contentious day in court just moments ago, proclaiming himself "very impressed" with Larry Birkhead's testimony, and adding that Birkhead had "put a lot of meat" on the bones of the Anna Nicole Smith body-disposition case. Seidlin quite pointedly didn't make similar remarks after Howard K. Stern vacated the witness stand.

The judge said that Birkhead would continue to testify on Thursday starting at 10:30 a.m. and that he wanted the respective litigants' attorneys to submit their recommendations for judgment in the case by 5 p.m. Seidlin has maintained that he will render his judgment or, as he likes to put it, "fashion a remedy," for the conflict by Friday morning.
