Anne Hathaway hosted Saturday Night Live this weekend and the sexy actress touched on her new role with Jake Gyllenhaal in Love & Other Drugs.

Anne Hathaway on Saturday Night Live - New Glee Character?

The two are nude during several scenes of the movie and the never shy Anne Hathaway made certain that was known on SNL.

Critic Ken Tucker writes: "Hathaway wasn’t the kind of first-rate SNL host who dominates the proceedings the way, say, Alec Baldwin or Steve Martin do. Instead of brawny power, she brought a brightly-lit wit, an avid enthusiasm tempered by sure skill. She was charming, sure — we expect Anne Hathaway to be charming. But she was also bold and adventurous."

Anne Hathaway is so desperate to land a part in Glee she has created a role for herself in her head. The 28-year-old actress admitted she has invented the character she wants to play and decided which song she would like to sing on the show. “I’d want to play Kurt’s long lost aunt – his mother’s sister – who is also gay, who comes back to help him deal with his sexuality,” she grinned.

“I would sing No One Is Alone from Stephen Sondheim’s epic show Into The Woods."


Hathaway, who is starring alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in new movie Love and Other Drugs, made her Gleeky confession during an appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s US chat show. Wearing a black mini-dress, the actress smiled when Fallon asked if she fancied a role on the musical TV show. “I’d love to be on,” she said.

“Can I make a confession? In my head I’ve written a part for myself on Glee." She cringed: “That’s so arrogant and obnoxious. This is my nerdiest interview ever."
