Would you pay to watch Avatar again with a re-release including a few extra features and deleted scenes? James Cameron and Fox are in discussions about re-releasing "Avatar" in late summer, the Hollywood Reporter notes.

Avatar Summer Re Release with Extras - Angelina Jolie as Na’vi Alien in Sequel?

The report notes that the second run would primarily be shown in 3D theaters, in late summer -- and, tantalizingly, with additional scenes that had been left on the cutting-room floom.


More on the record breaking film...Director James Cameron is reportedly already talking about a sequel to his sci-fi blockbuster Avatar – and now forensic artist Joe Mullins has transformed leading Hollywood A-listers to look like Na’vi aliens.

Salt actress Angelina Jolie (pictured) could be the new queen of Pandora in the images created by Mullins.


Other celebrities whose images have been given an Avatar twist include Jolie’s partner Brad Pitt, reality star Kim Kardashian, Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson, whose avatar has some vampire-style fangs, and pop star Lady Gaga, who has a typically outlandish new blue look.

Even Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi from hit MTV show Jersey Shore has been transformed into a Na’vi alien complete with her trademark hairdo.
