The 13th mad run for the roses starts off with a flourish as Jason is back with twenty-five beautiful women. In July, Jason Mesnick's marriage proposal was shot down by De Anna Pappas on The Bachelorette. The pity party officially ends now. The single dad (son Tyler is 3) recently let it slip that he's engaged to one of the 25 intriguing ladies who start jockeying for his heart in the two hour premiere.

A report from Us Weekly Magazine notes that while Mesnick is a "meat and potatoes-type accountant, the women stand out as a surprisingly devilish bunch (most notably, racy lacrosse coach Megan - one of four single moms in the mix)."


The report notes that their plotting and sniping remain utterly fascinating after all these years (pity the woman who interrupts Raquel's salsa dance with Mesnick!), and knowing that one of them now wears a diamond ring makes for an enthralling guessing game. Meet the women in photos here.

Alas, Us notes that "viewers may also wonder if Mesnick's golly-gee demeanor is for real (the show kicks of with corny images of him staring pensively outdoors and, ahem, jogging shirtless) and if these women really needed to quit their jobs and leave their small kids to do a reality show.
