Ben Affleck Wins Which Award? 'Daughter Wrote my Name for Luck' after Oscars Snub

Ben picks up a Golden Globe.

Ben Affleck was snubbed by the Oscars, and his daughter wrote his name on his hand for luck at the Golden Globes.

And after missing a chance at an Academy Award, the US actor was a little confused about which award he won when his name was called for best director for Argo.

"I would like to thank the Academy," he said at the beginning of his acceptance speech, quickly adding, "I'm kidding, I'm kidding. This is the one that counts."

He added his good luck scribble on his hand was from his daughter, though he admitted he was confused on how it works.

He said:

"My daughter wrote my name on my hand for luck," Affleck, 40, said in his acceptance speech. "I don't know how that works, but I guess it worked, so you can look forward to seeing more of this! I want to thank my kids and I want to thank my wife, without whom I would not be anywhere, much less here."
