Bobby Brown Put through Four Sobriety Tests, None of which he Passed

Bobby Brown has been released on $5,000 bail.

The 'My Prerogative' singer was arrested in Reseda, Los Angeles, Monday afternoon (03-26-12) on driving under the influence (DUI) charges after he failed a sobriety test when police officers stopped him for allegedly driving while talking on his phone.

Bobby was taken into custody in Van Nuys jail but released after his representatives arrived to post bail.

Officer Tiana Reed told RadarOnline.com: "We observed intoxication once Mr. Brown was pulled over.

"We put him through four sobriety tests, none of which he passed. He was arrested at 12:20 p.m. and booked into the Van Nuys jail."

The 43-year-old singer - whose ex-wife Whitney Houston was found dead in her Beverly Hills hotel room in February - was previously convicted of DUI in Georgia in 1996.

The 'Two Can Play That Game' singer entered a guilty plea at the time and served eight days in jail for the offense.

Bobby and Whitney - who have a 19-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina - were married from 1992 to 2007 and had a volatile relationship blighted by drug abuse and accusations of violence.

The singer is currently engaged to Alicia Etheridge.
