It seems as if Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have made every effort to not appear as a couple in public. Many believed that once Brad was officially divorced from ex-wife Jennifer Aniston, all that would change.

But still, even if the stars were at the same event, they kept their distance, trying to give the illusion that they were not an official couple. Were they fooling anyone?

Nah.

Now the Star Magazine breathlessly reports that the couple has officially appeared in public together. A report on the American tabloid's web site reads:

Well, it's about time! Brad Pitt, 41, and Angelina Jolie, 30, have finally made their first public outing as a couple at an event, Star reports exclusively.

The hot-and-heavy duo attended the Nov. 19 grand opening gala of the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville, Kentucky. They avoided the red carpet and instead slid in a side entrance of the Kentucky Center, where a star-studded lavish dinner was held, attended by the likes of Jim Carey, Matt Lauer and Ruben Studdard.

"Angelina wore a long red dress, with her hair up," an eyewitness tells Star. "She looked very elegant." And what about Angelina's arm candy? "Brad wore a long black leather coat with a blue sweater, and his hair was jet black."

The couple reportedly maintains a residence in Canada, where Brad is filming 'The Assassination of Jesse James' and are also set up in Brad's Malibu homeaccording to wire service reports.

So - will they finally be an official couple?

It's been rumored that Angie want to go public, but still zero official confirmation.
