And then there is Cate Blanchett? According to a report from Life & Style Weekly she may be the glue that holds the adoption heavy couple together.

Brad Pitt Looks to Cate Blanchett for Help With Angelina Jolie

According to an insider cited in the report, Cate gives him advice on his kids as (Angie's always traveling, most recently visiting Syria and Iraq in late August) leaving Brad along with the kids – and in need of a little support! With two kids of her own, Cate's able to offer tips in times of trouble.


"Angelina doesn't want to share Brad with other women, even if their relations with him are strictly emotional," the insider tells the weekly entertainment magazine. "Angie doesn't have friendships like that and just doesn't understand why Brad is turning to someone else for that kind of emotional connection. His friendship with Cate baffles Angelina."

If Angie knew how much Brad was confiding in Cate, she'd be even angrier. "Brad will call Cate from all over the world and they'll talk for hours about everything going on in their lives," says a friend of Brad's. "Brad tells her about the pressures he's under with his four kids and any problems he and Angie might be having." Adds the insider, "Angie doesn't have a clue how close they really are."


L& S calls it "A Sign of Trouble" and writes, "No matter how innocent Brad maintains the friendship is, the fact that he turns to Care instead of Angie is a serious problem – and could even qualify as an emotional affair, in which people develop deep emotional intimacy without getting physical."
