Did Brad Pitt wait to jump Angelina Jolie's bones until after he had split with his wife of five years Jennifer Aniston? He would like you to believe that. Reports when Pitt and Jolie were working on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith painted a picture that led to Pitt's nickname of Brad the cad. His co-star Vince Vaughn even reportedly told the wandering Pitt to "go home to his wife."

But a report that will hit this week has quotes from Pitt where he tries to spin his feelings for Jolie as being put on hold until after he told Jennifer he was finished with her.


In what may be the most laughable quote yet to come out of the mess that is the still going triangle between Jolie-Pitt and Aniston. "The most important thing about that time was for Jen and me to figure out if — how do I put it? — if we didn’t want to go on without any outside influence. Is this where we got off? Have we taken this as far as we wanted to? Those questions had to be answered before an attraction for Angie could be answered."

Lost in translation? It certainly seems like Brad Pitt had the hots for Angelina Jolie and was ready to get busy. Unfortunately he was still married to Jennifer Aniston. So of course he had to go break up with Jen before he could really carry on with Ang as the rumors were everywhere. I wonder if that's how Pitt presented it?
