Braves Backtrack on Offensive Logo? (Photo)
A report has claimed that the Atlanta Braves have backtracked on a Screaming Savage logo designed for batting practice caps.
Some believe the logo is offensive and that is the reason the Braves backtracked and pulled the baseball cap.
However, team president John Schuerholz insisted during an interview with MLB.com that there was no backtracking and it was only a leaked design that was in the running for the final bp cap.
Sports Yahoo reports:
'While the "screaming Indian" logo was one of five proposed designs, the Braves said a decision on the design had not been made before the potential hats were leaked.
"I like the selection we made this year," Braves president John Schuerholz said.
"We had a variety of choices that we looked at, some more thoroughly than others. But at the end, we liked this one. (The one pictured above)
The fact that one person somewhere offered his personal opinion about one of our options, that was important to him."'
The cap above is the new batting practice cap for the Atlanta Braves this season.
