Backstage at the BRIT Awards

Backstage at the 2013 BRIT Awards is a busy place, not only are stars like like Harry Styles and ex girlfriend Taylor Swift scheduled to appear (and be will kept apart to avoid a possible awkward confrontation) but the amount of people needed to pull off such a show is stunning.

A report reveals the 2013 BRIT awards will have 1000 people working backstage on the night.

The prestigious music ceremony - which takes place tonight at London's O2 Arena - is set to have a staggering amount of staff helping with production behind the scenes during the show's live broadcast and organizers have raked in a whole host of aids to ensure the night runs smoothly.

On top of that, 600 waiting and serving staff have been hired to provide 4,000 meals for guests - which 60 chefs spent over 2,000 hours preparing.

While the musicians enjoy their food and drinks, which took 5,500kg of ice cubes to keep cool, fans will be kept at bay by 2km of crowd safety barriers around the huge venue.

Special guests can also treat themselves to pampering sessions - including Radiance Reviver, Re-vital Eyes or Jet Lag energizer - to make sure they are on top form for any appearances and can top up their sun-kissed skin with a Fake Bake spray tan.

Once the event has finished the stars can tuck into 90,000 jelly beans at the official after party, which will provide entertainment in the form of seven astrologers and tarot card readers and an original Victorian carousel.

Acts confirmed to take to the stage during the glitzy ceremony include Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, One Direction, Beyonce and Robbie Williams.
