Britney Spears has fired her pool maintenance man, Jon LaLanne, who just happens to be the son of world-famous fitness guru Jack LaLanne.

At least that's the story according to him and now Jon is speaking out and he tells In Touch Weekly, "(Britney) is not the nice person everyone thinks she is.”

The reason he got the ax from Britney - according to this week's ITW - is for talking too much to her husband, Kevin Federline.

Who would have thunk it? It seems it would be good for K-fed to talk to pals at home.

“I was hanging out a little bit,” Jon, 45, tells In Touch.

“She came out screaming at Kevin for lying around, then looked at me like I was to blame.” Britney’s account manager called Jon the next day and told him not to come back.

Jon is a singer for the Malibu-based band BlowGun, and says in the article that he and Kevin often talked about music. But - according to Jon -Britney got jealous whenever her husband spoke to anyone but her.

“She wants Kevin on a leash,” he tells the weekly magazine.

ITW reports that Jon has taken care of pools for other stars, including Barbra Streisand and Titanic director James Cameron, says Britney was an unkind boss.

“She fires everybody. I figured, ‘Why not me?’ I just didn’t expect her to be so mean.”
