Britney Spears may be right on the edge of turning this all around. As she has had her struggles Britney Spears is working to keep her voice in shape until the next album comes along. It's not clear when exactly that will be but a report from OK! Magazine notes that they claim that they learned her recent trips to various L.A. recording studios won't result in a new record.

"There is no new album," a source close to the singer tells OK mag, in an item published this week. "When she goes into the studio, it's therapy for her voice and her mental well being. These producers and songwriters talking about working on a new album with her are just trying to get publicity for themselves."


The report does note that Britney is, however, collaborating with Madonna. Reports note that Britney taped a cameo, in which she's trapped in an elevator, as part of a video montage for Madonna's tour. "In a way, it is sadly true to life," the source spilled to the magazine. "But Britney is showing some real progress with her recovery, and everyone around her is encourage."

Meanwhile, Britney, 26, and mom Lynne enjoyed a girls' day out and a July 12 overnight stay with Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 22 months.
