Can Brokeback Mountain even come close to the hype that's being put forward about the film? Hard to say. The gay cowboy movie is getting rave reviews from critics and folks in Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco seem to love it.

Anne Bares All in Brokeback

But USA Today pop candy goddess Whitney Matheson (see why we love her?) gives fly-over country a reason to go see the film - Anne Hathaway bares all.

As you can tell, many got a sneak peak already with the dreaded dark clothing bright flashbulb trick with pictureslike these,but Whitney says a naked Anne Hathaway is a bit freaky.

In her online pop candy blog she writes:

"Call me old-fashioned, but seeing the Princess Diaries darling without a shirt made me more uncomfortable than watching Heath 'n' Jake get it on. But seriously, Hathaway is surprisingly good in Brokeback, even when she's wearing bad wigs."

Clever. But I'm thinking some folks might not mind catching a glimpse of a topless Anne Hathaway.

Matheson adds, "It gets bloody. There are at least three non-sexual scenes in Brokeback that could make viewers squeamish, and one involves an animal. I say this because I went with a friend who gets uncomfortable during such moments; afterward, she said she wished she'd known they were coming."

Hmm, gay cowboys, violence and a topless scene with Anne Hathaway.

Maybe it will live up to the hype.
