Bruce Jenner Tells Ellen DeGeneres he'll Start Questioning Daughters' Decisions

Kim Kardashian's stepfather didn't think she'd marry Kris Humphries.

Bruce Jenner - who is married to the socialite's mother Kris Jenner - admitted he had doubts about the couple's relationship and was unsure the brunette beauty would even accept the sportsman's proposal.

He said: "I can look at people and I can tell if it's going to work or not.

"I had my questions. I remember when Kris came to me. We were playing golf and he asked me, 'Is it OK to ask for her hand in marriage?' In the back of my head I said, 'I don't know if she is going to say yes. But it's not my decision.' "

Kim filed for divorce after just 72 days of marriage to Kris and though Bruce says it was a "horrible" time for the family, he is proud of his stepdaughter for taking action so quickly.

He said: "I think once she got into it, she realized this is not going to work. And she knew she was going to take the heat... She's a smart woman and said, 'Hey, I gotta cut my losses and move on.' It was horrible. I felt terrible."

Bruce says he and Kris now want to be more involved with their daughters' love decisions.

He told TV talk show host Ellen DeGeneres: "Maybe we should start questioning some of their decisions...

"The next guy's got to go through me".
