Bruce Willis Lively Appearance on Late Show with David Letterman

Sep 26, 2009

Zany Bruce Willis poked fun at his baldness by making up his own version of the Slanket – a blanket with sleeves AND a wig. The action star showed off his comedic side – and spoke of his marriage - with a lively appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman. Willis promoted his made-up product – which he calls the Scanket – by walking onto the show, nonchalant, wearing the bizarre blue blanket outfit.

After sitting down, he explained to Letterman what it was all about – and drew laughter from the audience as he pulled out the wig ‘attachment’. “The Slanket is all over the networks,” he explained. “And you know me, I do things, my mind never stops.

It’s like OCD. I have to invent things all the time – so this I call the Scanket. “This is for guys because a lot of the time you’re lying at home, you’re watching the WWII documentary, bowling, whatever it is you watch. “Sometimes if you’re like me and your hair is starting to go, what you want to do is take this attachment and get your scalp warm. Does that look warm?” He then spoke about his five months of marriage to model Emma Heming – and joked he hadn’t expected to marry again.

“Oh it was done for me,” he said. “I was just alone up in my little house. Up in my home, crying, weeping. Those days are done, nothing but happiness now.” He described his wife as “beautiful… so sweet.”
