Will ABC pick up Ghost Whisperer? The show has been canceled by CBS and the Jennifer Love Hewitt led drama may have a home on ABC, reports Deadline Hollywood Daily.

CBS Cancels Ghost Whisperer - ABC to Pick Up Jennifer Love Hewitt Drama?

According to E! Online, when asked why the show got the axe, CBS honcho Nina Tassler said it bluntly: "It's sad, but shows don't stay on the air forever."

However, Ghost Whisperer may live on for a while longer on another network.


Nikki Finke reveals: "I hear talks with ABC for The Ghost Whisperer have started. Ghost Whisperer would be attractive to ABC at the right price. Better still, it is co-owned by ABC whose studio developed it before selling it to CBS, which owns half of the show."

In an even later update the Hollywood insider adds: "I hear people close to 'Ghost Whisperer' feel optimistic about the show's chances to continue on ABC."
