Movie News - Christian Bale Out of Steve Jobs Biopic
Movie News - Christian Bale has withdrawn from Danny Boyle's biopic of Steve Jobs.
The Oscar-winning actor decided to withdraw from the much-anticipated project after concluding he wasn't the right man to play the part of the Apple co-founder, who died in 2011.
The Hollywood Reporter says Bale, 40, is the second big name star to decline the role, after it was first offered to Leonardo DiCaprio, 39.
Boyle - who directed 'Slumdog Millionaire' and 'Trainspotting' - is set to hold further casting meetings this week as he seeks to find an actor to fill the role of the technology whiz, who is widely credited with reviving the fortunes of Apple.
Last week, The Wrap reported Seth Rogen is in talks to star in the biopic.
The 'Bad Neighbours' star is in negotiations to take on the role of Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, who created the Apple I computer and co-created the Apple II computer in the 1970s.
What's more, 'Zero Dark Thirty' star Jessica Chastain - who is currently starring alongside Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Sir Michael Caine in 'Interstellar' - is also being courted for an unspecified role in the film.
