Britney Spears has reportedly returned to rehab for a third try at getting herself clean up and made whole. The singer has been on such a wild spree of late, her ex husband Kevin Federline has reportedly scheduled an emergency hearing to try and wrestle control of the kids from Britney. According to us weekly magazine even her mother was willing to help Kevin. That may have scared Britney enough for this latest move as TMZ.Com is reporting that the hearing has been cancelled.

A shocking report from Us Weekly explained that a source had dished to the magazine that Britney knew she was in trouble. Kevin was set to step in for the kids sakes and surely there was a good chance that a judge would listen.

A source told the weekly entertainment magazine that Federline, 28, and his mother, along with the help of Spears' mother Lynne, had joined forces to aid Federline while he has cared for his sons -- Sean Preston, 17 months, and Jayden James, 5 months -- during their mother's recent rehab stints, partying and hotel stays.

According to the report, Britney's family feels that Kevin has been a blessing and they are very impressed with Kevin taking so much responsibility," says a Spears family source. "Britney's family found out from the news this morning that Britney had left the rehab. Britney has not asked to see the kids because she knows she is not well and she does not want to scare Preston, the story alleges.

Update: TMZ reports that Spears showed up at Federline's house last night and he wouldn't' let her in and adds that sources say the kids are now in the custody of Federline and have been since last week.

The celebrity website also reports that it has confirmed Spears' inpatient rehab program is supposed to last between 30 and 45 days.
